In my first year at WorldFinds, we used a combined website for both wholesale & retail shopping. After analyzing sales and trends, I noticed that our retail sales weren't growing, and there was frequent confusion from our wholesale buyers regarding usability and product availability. I presented the situation to my team and explained that our current shopping setup wasn't conducive to growth or an exceptional user experience.
I proposed the creation of a separate website where we could tailor the product availability, navigation, site search, SEO and landing pages to the appropriate audience. This ultimately involved fully developing a Shopify site and sourcing a connection between Shopify & our ERP. This project continues to be the backbone of the WorldFinds retail operation. The result has been a vastly improved experience for our customers, and crucially, the growth of the retail business.
Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce Website
At WorldFinds, I was responsible for updating and maintaining a wholesale-facing eCommerce website. This website was already successful at showcasing the brand’s story and products, but the layout was outdated and difficult to navigate. With the launch of WorldFinds’ Retail business, the website needed to be redesigned to match the updated visual style of the brand. During this redesign, I developed out a centralized wholesale portal to consolidate all of the resources that are offered to retailers. Designed & managed through Netsuite & SuiteCommerce.
